When the weight of life comes crashing down, and when you can't see past your anxious, depressed, or intrusive thoughts; when you feel out of control, and are drowning in shame or anger; when you've lost hope of figuring out a way out of this...
Suffering is not optional in this life. Everyone suffers. It's not a question of if, it's a questions of when.
And in the midst of your struggling, I'm eager to help you find a way out. I will approach you in a non-judgmental, compassionate way to help you get your life back on track.
I want to help you regain your sense of identity. I want to help you stop the negative thought and/or behavior cycles. I want to listen to your story and help you make meaning of what you are going through.
My style of therapy combines my knowledge of research and best-practices with the tailoring of your personality and strengths to help you achieve your goals. Sometimes you may need a compassionate friend to listen. Sometimes you may need a compassionate bootcamp sergeant! Either way, I'm here to act as a guide. Ultimately you will do the work to make changes, but I will offer my expertise and wisdom to encourage, teach, and aide in healing.
The main models I use in individual therapy are EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I am also trained in cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-i).
Please contact me by email or phone if you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment.
